Thanks to Future Energy Yorkshire, Ofgem are to trial a new analytical technique for determining the biomass content of waste wood for Renewables Obligation Certificate purposes. This cost effective technique is being trialled by Bioflame Limited, a pioneering Yorkshire based renewable energy technology and project developer.
Future Energy Yorkshire is pleased to announce that Ofgem has agreed to trial a new analytical technique for assessing the eligibility of waste wood renewable energy generators to claim financial incentives called Renewables Obligation Certificates (ROCs). The fuel analysis for the trial will be conducted by TES Bretby, one of the UK’s largest independent testing laboratories. If successful, this six month trial will pave the way for other biomass generators wishing to use waste wood as a fuel.
