Training Courses

One of the mechanisms through which FEY facilitates the development of the region’s new and renewable energy sector is through the provision of a range of training courses.  The aim of these training courses is to provide project developers with the skills necessary to successfully deliver new and renewable energy projects within the Yorkshire and Humber region.

Continuing Professional Development Course in Biomass

Future Energy Yorkshire has developed a CPD Course in Biomass.  The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive overview of the biomass energy sector.

The first five day course ran from the 19th May 2008 and due to this being a huge success and the course being over subscribed we are now running the course again from October 13th-17th 2008.

If you are interested in this course further details of the content and structure of the course and how to book your place can be found in this document.

Ignite

In December 2006, FEY (in collaboration with Microgeneration) facilitated and funded the first Ignite Yorkshire training course.  The course, which was delivered by Yorwoods and Northwoods, is the region’s first formal wood fuel training course.  The course provides an overview of: the economics of wood fuel supply; the technology that is available to produce wood fuel; and the systems that burn it.  Furthermore, as the course is accredited by Lantra Awards, delegates obtain a qualification in wood fuel upon successful completion of the course.

For further details of the Ignite training course please contact Yorwoods.
